We’re celebrating International Credit Union Day all week with activities.

  • Tuesday, 17th: Member Appreciation Day at our Kershaw County Branches, snacks/refreshments served from 11AM - 1PM or while supplies last.

  • Thursday, 19th: Celebrating ICU Day! Be one of the first 100 people to come inside any of our Kershaw County branch locations and receive a 2024 MCCU wall calendar. (must come inside branch, calendar cannot go in drive-thru tube.)

Celebrating 75 Years of International Credit Union Day®

On October 19, 2023, Mid Carolina Credit Union (MCCU) will join over 56,000 credit unions around the world to celebrate International Credit Union (ICU) Day®. This year marks the 75th anniversary of International Credit Union Day®, which highlights the many ways that credit unions across the world help members work toward achieving their financial goals.

Credit unions were built on the principle of “people helping people.” We’ve seen that philosophy in action for more than 100 years, with credit unions providing access to affordable financial products and striving to meet the needs of underserved communities. Mid Carolina Credit Union is honored to be a part of this proud tradition.

To celebrate with our members and community, MCCU will have prize giveaways, gifts, and refreshments during the week of October 16th - 20th. Members and non-members can register at any of our branch locations or online at our website during the celebration for our grand prize drawing; the winner will receive a Stainless Portable Grill, an Igloo Seadrift Coast Cooler, and an MCCU folding chair. On Tuesday we will celebrate with snacks and refreshments at our Kershaw County branch locations from 11AM to 1PM. On Thursday we will be giving out 2024 MCCU Wall Calendars to the first 100 members to stop in a branch. MCCU invites both members and nonmembers to visit one of our branch locations and celebrate the week with us.

2023 ICU Day Prize Giveaway Official Rules

  1. No purchase is necessary to enter. Members and nonmembers are allowed one entry per day while contest submission dates are open.

  2. ELIGIBILITY OF PROMOTION. All members of Mid Carolina Credit Union (Credit Union), address being PO Box 549 Lugoff, SC 29078, and nonmembers that submit an entry either online at midcarolinacu.com or at one of our physical locations October 16 -20, 2023 are eligible for the prize drawing. Individual ticket registration for contest is required to participate in the contest. Members must be 18 years old or older and accounts must be in good standing to legally qualify for entry in the prize drawing and claim prize.

  3. PRIZES. The Credit Union will award three (3) prizes via computer generated random drawing as follows: 1st prize (1) Stainless Portable Grill, (1) Igloo Seadrift Coast Cooler & MCCU Folding Chair, 2nd prize (1) $50.00 cash, 3rd prize (1) $50.00 cash. Odds. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible registered entries. Some restrictions apply. No substitution of prize permitted. Only one prize will be awarded per household.

  4. The winner will be selected from entries by October 25, 2023 and be contacted by phone and email. The winner will have three days to claim prize from date of contact or forfeit. Upon forfeit, another winner will be drawn. The prize will be awarded only if entrants comply with these Official Rules. Prize winners are responsible for all federal, state, local or other taxes or other assessments that may be associated with or imposed upon the winner of any prize in this promotion. Winners may be required to supply a social security number to the Credit Union in order to verify membership or file all applicable forms including prize winner release form if required.

  5. The Credit Union reserves the right to make rules and contest changes and change the aforementioned contest dates.

  6. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.

  7. The Credit Union cannot be held liable for any lost or stolen entries, prizes, or contest information. The Credit Union is not responsible for any computer or electronic malfunction, server unavailability, technological glitch, or human error relating to this contest and/or the use of short-code.

  8. By accepting a prize, the winner consents to the use of his/her full name, hometown and photograph or likeness for advertising, promotional services, or publicity purposes without compensation.

  9. ADDITIONAL TERMS. The Credit Union is not responsible for any liability arising directly or indirectly from the award or use of the prize. By entering the contest, the winners agree to be bound by the contest rules and all winners, members of any winner’s household, relatives and persons who use any prize awarded by the Credit Union, and such persons heirs, assigns, executors, and administrators release and exempt the Credit Union and its directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all claims, loss, actions, demands, choses in action and damages which they have now or any time in the future arising from use of any prize, including personal injury or death.
