Banzai Direct

Banzai Direct for Members & Financial Wellness Center

Mid Carolina Credit Union is proud to bring Banzai, the financial literacy program used by millions of teachers and students around the country, to you and your home for FREE. Experience real-world financial literacy in a fun, safe way.

The program curriculum includes three different programs that the whole family can learn from and enjoy: Banzai Junior (ages 8-12), Banzai Teen (ages 13-18), or Banzai Plus for adults. You pick the content level when you enroll. Also included for free is the Banzai Wellness Center, an online library with in-depth articles to help you master your finances. Topics include budgeting, insurance, retirement, buying a house, taxes, life changes, borrowing and credit, smart living, starting a business, and more! Ready to start your financial adventure? Mid Carolina Credit Union is a strong advocate of financial literacy. We believe that when kids learn about money and saving at a young age, they will grow up to be financially savvy! For this reason, we have a FREE version for educators to learn about Banzai for Teachers.

America Saves is a non-profit campaign seeking to motivate, encourage, and support individuals to save money, reduce debt, and build wealth. America Saves has the tips, resources, and tools to help you be financially successful.


Consumer Affairs

The South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs is the state’s consumer protection agency. Among other things, they serve as an educational portal for consumers and businesses alike, informing the public on effective ways of preventing and mitigating identity theft situations.


Identity Theft

The ITRC is a non-profit organization established to support victims of identity theft in resolving their cases and to broaden public education and awareness in the understanding of identity theft, data breaches, cybersecurity, scams/fraud, and privacy issues. 


FTC

The Federal Trade Commission protects consumers by stopping unfair, deceptive, or fraudulent practices in the marketplace. They have educational information and programs for consumers and businesses.

CFPB

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) regulates the offering and provision of consumer financial products or services under the federal consumer financial laws and educates and empowers consumers to make better informed financial decisions. They have financial education materials that go from childhood through retirement.

NCUA’s Consumer Assistance Center assists consumers in resolving disputes with credit unions and providing information about federal consumer financial protection and share insurance matters. The site also has lots of helpful financial information for consumers on saving, buying a car, home ownership, college, and more.
